I think one of the things that makes spring and summer so inviting is all the color. I went through a neutral phase for quite some time because I thought it would make getting dressed easier, but I ended up feeling like I was wearing a uniform—every outfit I put on felt the same, and I was bored.
I’ve been adding more color to my closet for the past few months and summer is where I get to go a little wild I think. Mixing and matching bold prints and colors feels easy, effortless and fun. Statement pieces, cool bags and fun shoes are the things that end up making your whole outfit feel “done” and I’m here for it!
Here are a few colorful, patterned and statement pieces that I’ve got my eye on right now…
Striped Knit Top: I LOVE a summer knit and while I’m not doing much knitting at the moment, this striped tank is SO chic.
Sera Fisherman Sandal: These are on their way to me (#ad) and I cannot wait for them to arrive! The style and detail on them plus the color? I know these will be worn like crazy all summer. They come in SO many different colors which is truly a testament to them being a crowd favorite.
Fishy Statement Necklace: The statement necklace is making a comeback, but not the same way as our big chunky necklaces we all had about 15 years ago—you know what I’m talking about, right?! I love the fish charm on here SO much!
Linen Button Shirt: Obsessing over this minty green version of my favorite linen shirt. It runs TTS and fits perfectly oversized. I would wear this with jeans shorts, linen shorts and white jeans!
Striped Linen Ankle Pants: I adore a good stripe and these pants are amazing! The color and fit—these are in my cart at the moment.
Henri Top: This one has been on my list for years, I love the soft feminine details!! My biggest hold up is deciding on which color. I’m loving this soft blue, but there are so many to pick from.
Petit Pot de Miel Bag: A woven or raffia bag is a MUST this time of year and this little one has the cutest shape and bamboo handle. I love this for an event or date night!
Pink Pom Pom Sandals: I love a good statement sandal and these pink pom pom ones deliver! Adding these is such an easy way to take a simple outfit and give it something special!
Pleated Butter Yellow Skirt: A simple skirt, but this color is so versatile and can be paired with so many colors and patterns. It also comes in a gorgeous gingham and floral that I would wear CONSTANTLY too!
Colorblock Dress: Date night, lunch with friends, anything a little dressier than everyday and this pretty dress is perfect. I love the colors and details of this simple, but beautiful dress.
Shell Statement Necklace: Even more of a statement than the fish necklace, and this one feels more dressy to me, like it could be PERFECT with a dress for a more formal event or beachside wedding, or you could dress is down with a tank and linen pants.
Jumpsuit: This fabric looks so soft and would be perfect for a swim coverup or for a hot summer day when you’re chasing kids around the park.
Striped Linen Skirt: A red and white stripe feels SO right for summer. I love the button details on this too. Pair it with an boho-inspired embroidered white top or a linen button down for something more polished.
Woven Bucket Bag: I love this woven texture, it’s so casual and easy to wear and ages beautifully!
Linen Drawstring Pants: A classic shape and so comfortable. These will be a summer staple! These come in several colors too!
